One Bite Won't Kill You

OneBiteWontKillYou_a.JPG.jpgOneBiteWon%27tKillYou_a.JPG.jpg

Product Details:

Hodgman, Ann (Roz Chast, illus.) . One Bite Won't Kill You. NY : Houghton Mifflin, . 1st pb Edition. Sq. 8vo. VG in wraps.

Not exactly a cookbook for kids (though there are many recipes in here that a young person could prepare, with assistance), this is one of the funniest and most encouraging book about feeding picky eaters that Miss Edith has ever seen. Hodgman understands that different people — of all ages — have different food crotchets, and she caters to most of them here. Chapters about breakfast, vegetables, holiday meal disasters (the kid who won’t eat turkey, stuffing, onions, or squash who sits down at your Thanksgiving table… and how to handle him) cover almost every contingency, with Hodgman’s dependable good humor, practical tone, and affection for cured and smoked pork products. Roz Chast’s illustrations complement Hodgman’s book as well as Fritos complement a bologna and cheese sandwich.

Price: $10.00
